Lamborghini Urus Process: A bull – almost – well behaved

The recipe seems to fly every time. All luxury or prestige manufacturers who have worked on the design of an SUV have seen their sales explode. Of course, the first to try out the experience is Porsche with the 2002 Cayenne, followed by the Maserati Levante, the Bentley Bentayga and, most recently, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The introduction of the Urus is already a success for Lamborghini: despite a doubling of production capacity, the manufacturer has had more than one year delivery time for this model since the beginning of the year. Purists can scream mercilessly, no builder can resist such a temptation, not even Ferrari, who in turn starts in the arena. And Lamborghini can jokingly point out that he is the only one who relies on his legacy as a real precursor: the LM002, which was produced between 1986 and 1993.

"Like all Lamborghinis, the Urus is in excess …"

It is no secret for anyoneLamborghini belongs to the Volkswagen Group and can therefore claim heavily in its organ bank. The Urus is therefore based on the same platform as the Audi Q8, Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Bentayga. It shares with the Cayenne Turbo the same engine base, namely a supercharged V8 4.0. The manufacturer of supercars, however, had the obligation to do better than his classmates, so he has his strongest version: 650 hp, 100 hp more than the Cayenne Turbo, excuse the little ones.

In fact, the Urus could claim the status of the world's most powerful SUV if the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk does not mock it with its 707 horsepower. The Italian can also play on the 5,11 m long courtyard of limousines. A reality that skilfully conceals its plastic. Its angular lines, inspired by the Aventador, and its fleeing pavilion give it a distinctively sporty look, enhanced by giant rims of at least 21 inches. Fans can even opt for 23-inch models. Despite its Germanic genes, the Urus has not lost the impression of spectacle and excess that characterizes a Lamborghini …

Lamborghini Urus Price

Talking tariff when we talk about such a brand would be a vulgar thing. For customers who want to be on board a Urus, paying the high price is almost a part of the game, they will not be disappointed, as the base price is 205,715 euros. However, this is almost a deal against the Bentley Bentayga, which starts at 217,300 euros, or Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which happily exceeds the 260,000-euro mark. In the highest billing competition, however, the future Urus owner retains his chances when pulling out of the generous catalog of options. The range of decorative inserts is huge, as well as those of driving aids that offer, among other things, night vision (€ 2,521) or semi-autonomous driving with the head-up display for € 6,000. Finally, the French State will, of course, pay the highest penalty of € 10,500 and the tax on vehicles with a maximum prestige of € 8,000, not to mention the price of the registration certificate for a model with 58 taxable CVs. ,
