Mercedes-AMG GT 2019: Small advances and radical version GT R Pro


Mercedes does not hesitate to develop its sports coupe AMG GT. Released in 2014, it has already benefited from a redesign at the Detroit Show in 2017, and is developing again in the US. Outside, the changes are minor. Only the slight signature, more in the spirit of the AMG GT Coupé (four-door) stands out. On the back of the shield contains a new diffuser (AMG GT, S and C) and redesigned exhaust outlets. New wheels are also available.

Mostly it happens inside, with the same inspiration as the four-door coupe. Thus, conventional needle counter space for a 12.3-inch Digital handset offers three display modes: Classic, Sport and Supersport.

A new central screen is displayed. Wider, it now measures 10.25 inches. Also note that the center console is equipped with new controls (touchpad, transmission, ESP, exhaust …) and a brand new steering wheel from the AMG GT Coupé. Via the touch controls it is possible to vary the screen display, to query the voice assistant or to select a driving mode.

Fans of track exits can use their services over theAMG Track Pace, It is a system based on GPS data as well as on the sensors of the vehicle (acceleration, steering angle, wheel speed …) and records various data to know the lap time best. Depending on the course, the times are displayed in green or red. Note that the driving modes have evolved for more finesse.

Finally, the engines remain identical with even "comfortable" performances: 476 hp (GT), 522 hp (GT S), 557 hp (GT C) and 585 hp (GT R and GT R Pro).

In addition to the developments of the AMG GT, Mercedes a limited edition R Proin the spirit of the one who runs in the GT3 category. From the side it is noticed immediately.
