[Mis à jour le 28/11/2018] Take a look at the official photos of the new Porsche 911 992 live from the Los Angeles 2018 Show.
[Mise à jour le 27/11/18] After months of waiting, the eighth generation of the Porsche 911 will be finally on Tuesday, November 27, at 20 o'clock presented to the public (November 28 at 5:30 in France) for the opening of the Los Angeles Lounge. Nevertheless, Zuffenhausen does not seem to be able to prevent the leakage of images, and today we can admire the first official photos of this new generation called 992.
And although these are of very average quality, they make it possible to distinguish the rare aesthetic changes of this new model compared to the old ones. As with every generational change, this model 992 develops very little compared to its predecessor. On the back, we notice in particular the strip of light that connects the lights and on which the name of the brand stands in silver letters. This banner now appears in all versions and more only on 911 AWDs.
Very limited aesthetic changes
We notice that too The third brake light is now in the middle of the ventilation grille the hood, while the exhaust outlets in the lower part of the shield are surrounded by a large black part. At the front, the changes are much less obvious, and it seems that above all the bottom of the shield has changed, with the grids being wider and straight.
As far as the technical side is concerned, the versions of the Flat-Six 3.0 Turbo Carrera and the Carrera S should have a performance increase of nearly 450 hp for the Carrera S. If the seven-speed transmission is still available, a new eight-speed PDK transmission derived from Panamera, is also proposed. Finally, the 911 will later receive a hybrid version. A premiere for this mythical athlete!
