Mixed rating for the brand with the rafters. The chaotic beginnings of the C4 Picasso II and the hiccups of the C4 Cactus gave the C1, C3 and C3 Aircross more peace of mind. But some weaknesses are to be considered.

C3 Aircross (since 2017)

This city SUV, developed by PSA but manufactured by Opel in Zaragoza, Spain, is a pretty serious student. Especially since it quickly corrects its small defects (water leak in the trunk, GPS error or malfunction of the tailgate lock). Without the fears of pollution found on the 1.2 PureTech and 1.6 BlueHDi, the C3 Aircross could have been awarded the prize for excellence.

C4 Cactus (since 2014)

Whether aesthetically (the redesign took place in March 2018) or reliability - the C4 cactus has several faces. On the chapter that interests us, there is one before and after 2017. In fact, vehicles older than this date are different from air conditioning failures, front axle noise or gearbox (manual) problems and robots). Surprisingly, the Citroën model may be exposed to corrosion on the underside of the doors by August 2016. Mistrust! Owners have also experienced engine failure. This is the case for PureTech 1.2 to 2016 (abnormal oil consumption, various HS sensors), 1.2 PureTech 110 (timing belts, spark plugs and ignition coils) and 1.6 BlueHDi (urea tank). ,

C3 III (since 2016)

After a year and a half of career, the hour is the first record. Not to expect a bad lap from the last C3, knowing that it is based on the proven technical base of the Peugeot 208. The few technical deficiencies were detected (noises of the front and rear trains, malfunctions of the GPS, condensation in the taillights or misalignment of the Airbump) were corrected in 2017 in the plant Trnava in Slovakia or 2018 for the unruly tailgate lock. Note that the 1.2 PureTech 110 and 1.6 BlueHDi engines do not like city driving, no roof for a city car ... These two blocks are prone to fouling, a problem that is solved by cleaning the cylinder head or replacing the engine. Engine in gasoline (see page new Peugeot) or the exhaust valves of the diesel.
